For the past several months, I have been extensively documenting the Edward W. Bok Technical High School, located at 9th and Mifflin in South Philadelphia.
Bok Tech is one of a handful of the city’s remaining technical schools. I wrote about the history of the building and of technical education for Hidden City here.
This past April, the state-appointed School Reform Commission voted to close 22 schools, Bok is one of them.
This is Bok’s library, which hasn’t been staffed by a librarian for years and has primarily been used as a computer lab.
