Just last week I packed up my gear and headed North to Petaluma for a family session. The family hadn’t had professional photos taken since their youngest child (now six) was two, and they wanted some creative shots for holiday cards. We met up at a ranch that has been in the family for generations and still has some original buildings from the 1800’s (including a hay barn and a bunkhouse!) as well as a lot of old farming implements. There were huge jackrabbits running around everywhere and the weather was gorgeous, with the few clouds in the sky diffusing the sun and making for absolutely perfect light. After we spent a couple of hours wandering around the property, the kids suited up to ride their dirtbikes (notice the training wheels on the little one!).
Awesome family, gorgeous light, amazing location. xoxo
